Christine Martin, M.A., CCC founding partner and president of Match Advantage is a communication specialist and speech pathologist with extensive experience teaching individuals to maximize their communication skills.

She has trained Fortune 500 CEOs to use effective verbal and non-verbal skills to enhance their professional dealings. Working in teaching hospitals for the past fifteen years, Christine is familiar with the challenges medical students and residents face. Daniel Martin, Ph.D., is a highly skilled communication professional who for over 30 years has worked in the medical academic world interacting closely with medical students and residents.

He has been active in the match selection process interviewing residency candidates and participating in the “behind the scenes” selection discussions. His years of experience in this area uniquely suit him to prepare medical students for the interpersonal aspect of the match interview experience. Dr. Martin is internationally recognized as a specialist in voice and communication.
As an Associate Professor in the Section of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Chicago he works daily with medical students and residents and is the Director of the University of Chicago Voice Center.

He has also been on the clinical medical school faculties of Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, OH, and academic faculty of the University of Alabama.

Barry Wenig, M.D. is internationally recognized for excellence in head and neck surgery and laryngeal disorders. Currently a professor in the department of Otolaryngology –Head and Neck Surgery, Northwestern University School of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Evanston Northwestern Healthcare, Dr. Wenig has had extensive experience interviewing and selecting residents.

Dr. Wenig has built his career around a desire to combine medicine with his passion for teaching others. During his employ at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering, The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and Chaim Sheba Medical Center (Tel Hashomer, Israel) he has had a tremendously positive impact over countless physicians in training. His contributions to the world of otolaryngology are immeasurable.

Mark Gerber, M.D. is the head of Pediatric Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare, Evanston, IL. He presently holds an academic appointment at Northwestern University, Chicago IL. Prior to that, he held an academic position at University of Cincinnati. His current affiliations also include Children’s Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite and Egleston, Atlanta, GA. He is a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology. Dr. Gerber has published extensively and is nationally recognized for his contributions in pediatric otolaryngology. He also serves on the faculty for the Osler Institute as a review course instructor for Otolaryngology and Pediatric Otolaryngology. Dr. Gerber is highly experienced in interviewing and selecting residents.
